Remembrance Drive crash – another fatality on our roads

Our roads have claimed another life, this time in a crash between a car and a truck near Bargo.

A 73-year-old woman, who was behind the wheel of a Mazda, was assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics for serious injuries before being taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Police confirmed the woman died upon arriving at hospital.

The crash took place about 3pm yesterday (Thursday), along Remembrance Drive, Bargo, about 40km south of Campbelltown.

Emergency services responded after reports a black Mazda SUV and a white prime mover had collided.

The driver of the prime mover – a 37-year-old man – was uninjured and underwent mandatory testing at the scene, returning a negative result.

Officers attached Camden Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the crash.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact Camden Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from Rosemeadow.

Yahya Radhi, aged 18 (pictured), was last seen walking on Therry Road about 4.56pm last Friday (February 13).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Yahya’s welfare.

Yahya is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, about 170-175cm tall, of medium build with a dark beard and moustache, short cropped hair with length at the back.

He was last seen wearing a black and grey zippered hoodie, black tight track pants with white stripe on the side, turquoise and black sneakers with black laces, black and white head scarf, and carrying a dark brown backpack.

Yahya is known to frequent the Campbelltown CBD, Liverpool, Cabramatta, and Fairfield areas.

Anyone who sees Yahya is urged to contact Campbelltown City Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
