
Robbery and Serious Crime Squad detectives are appealing for information on the assault and robbery of a cash courier.
Strike force detectives have released CCTV of two men and two vehicles they are seeking to identify to assist with their inquiries.
They say that on March 17 last year emergency services were called to a shopping centre in Liverpool following reports of an armed robbery.
Officers attached to Liverpool Police Area Command were told a 50-year-old man employed as a cash courier parked his car before walking from the vehicle with a bag containing $30,000 cash.
Two unknown men armed with a baseball bat and a knife threatened the man, before assaulting him and stealing his backpack.
The men were last seen leaving the carpark in a Toyota Camry.
The 50-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being take to Liverpool Hospital.
A short time later, the vehicle was found alight on Drysdale Road in Mount Pritchard.
The CCTV footage released now shows a Toyota Camry entering the shopping centre carpark, driven by a man with a male passenger.
Further footage shows the same vehicle parked on Drysdale Road in Mount Pritchard before it’s set alight.
A short time later, two men are depicted walking along a street in Mount Pritchard (above). They are described as being of Caucasian appearances and aged in their 30s.
One man is seen wearing wearing a grey shirt, blue shorts, black cap and shoes, carrying a black bag.
The other man is seen wearing a blue shirt, black track pants, a black cap and shoes, carrying a black bag.
Further CCTV shows a Mazda SUV driving on a road in Mount Pritchard and appearing to pick up the men.
