Picton Pride Party, a three day community celebration of creativity and connection will take place in the Wollondilly Performing Arts Centre during this year’s Sydney Mardi Gras season.
The February 20-22 event promises to bring together live performances, local artists, community groups and family friendly activations, in a welcoming and inclusive space for people of all ages to come together and celebrate diversity.
Bold cabaret, iconic drag, alternative theatre and inclusive daytime events for people of all ages will be part of the program for the Picton Pride Party.
Curated for everyone, Picton Pride Party combines award winning performances with family friendly, community driven activities.
Highlights include Les Divas: All-Male Revue, a glittering, high energy homage to the world’s greatest divas, headlined by Australia’s celebrated drag performer Prada Clutch.
Also on the Party program is Slow-Cooked Mutton Cabaret – irreverent feminist punk cabaret blending music, puppetry and risqué storytelling. It includes a dazzling pre-show performance by renowned cabaret performer Paul Cordeiro.
Parlour Noir Cabaret, pictured above, is award-winning noir cabaret steeped in glamour, grit and iconic songs. It will include a pre-show performance by renowned cabaret star Ben Noir.
Community and family events will include Sunday daytime workshops, singalong choir sessions, flash mob dance performances, and Pride bracelet and badge making activities.
