
Appin Road has claimed another life, this time a 17 year old teenage girl who was a passenger in a car involved in a collision with another vehicle.
About 8pm last night (Thursday, January 8), emergency services responded to reports of a crash on Appin Road, Appin.
Officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command arrived at the scene to find two vehicles had collided, a Toyota Hilux utility and a Mazda sedan.
Police say that the driver of the Toyota, a 22 year old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Campbelltown Hospital under police guard for mandatory testing.
The four occupants of a Mazda sedan were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
The driver, a 46 year old man, was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
A 30 year old woman was also taken to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition.
A 12 year old boy received minor injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital.
The fourth occupant, a 17 year old teenage girl died at the scene.
The Crash Investigation Unit has now commenced an investigation into the cause of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
