Man charged with conspiracy to commit public place shooting

A South West Sydney man has been charged over his alleged role in a conspiracy to commit a public place shooting in Campbelltown.

In December 2025, officers attached to Campbelltown City Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the alleged plot to commit a public place shooting.

Following inquiries, about 11.15pm on Sunday (December 28), detectives – with the assistance from Tactical Operations Unit – executed a search warrant at a house on Isis Street, Fairfield West, where they allegedly located and seized prohibited drugs and a mobile phone device.

Following further inquiries, about 6pm yesterday (Monday, December 29), a second search warrant was executed at a home on Kent Road, Greenacre, where a mobile phone was seized.

About 8.20pm yesterday police attended the same house on Isis Street, Fairfield West and arrested a 24-year-old man.

He was taken to Cabramatta Police Station where he was charged with:

  • Supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity (three counts)
  • Supply prohibited drug less than or equal to small quantity (two counts)
  • Possess unauthorised pistol (two counts)
  • Use, supply, acquire or possess defaced firearm
  • Knowingly direct activities of criminal group
  • Discharge firearm, intent to cause grievous bodily harm
  • Conspiracy to commit offence
  • Recruit other to assist in carrying out criminal activity
  • Participate criminal group, contribute criminal activity

He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 6 today (Tuesday, December 30, as investigations continue into the matter.
