
Christmas celebrations will spread across the Campbelltown region throughout November and December, with a variety of festive-themed community events and activities.
Local families will be able to enjoy a range of events in 2025, from festive favourites to new highlights for everyone to enjoy.
“There’s something truly magical about Christmas in Campbelltown,” says Mayor Darcy Lound.
“It’s a time when many in our community come together to celebrate, connect and share joy. Whether you’re making memories with loved ones, enjoying our festive events or giving back through the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal, there’s something for everyone to feel part of the season.
“Each year, our Christmas program grows in popularity and I’m proud to see Campbelltown shine so brightly during this special time,” Mayor Lound said.
On Sunday, December 21, from 8am to 1pm, Campbelltown Christmas Markets will bring festive cheer to Lithgow Street with a range of stalls, roaming performances, visits from Santa, face painting, makers workshops and live music.
Wreath making workshops at The Aviary on Q, Queen Street, throughout November and December are open to everyone.
The popular Light the Tree will return to the Campbelltown Civic Centre on Friday, November 28, from 6pm to 9pm.
Residents will enjoy free festive fun, kids activities and entertainment, concluding with the lighting of the Christmas tree by Mayor Lound.
Campbelltown Libraries branches will host a range of festive events through December for everyone to enjoy, including:
- Geekmas – The ultimate gathering for fans of all things nerdy, Monday, December 1, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, at Campbelltown Library, HJ Daley.
- Laser cut your own Christmas tree ornament workshop for youth, Monday, December 11, 3pm to 5pm, at Campbelltown Library in Downes Plaza.
- Decorate a cardboard gingerbread house workshops for kids on Tuesday, December 16 at multiple locations and times.
Families can enjoy three pop-up Merry Movie Nights in December with special screenings of Home Alone 2 on Thursday, December 4, Polar Express one week later and Elf on December 18 at Forum Q on Lithgow Street, from 7.30pm.
The iconic Rocking Around Campbelltown Christmas Convoy will return on Saturday, December 6 as Santa visits four event locations across Campbelltown with free Santa photos, live music, roaming entertainers, activity stations and food trucks offered from 10am to 5.30pm.
Santa’s convoy will stop at:
- Mont Street Quentin Oval, Bardia, 9.30am to 11am
- Eagle Farm Reserve, Eagle Vale 11am to 1pm
- Cook Reserve, Ruse 12.30pm to 2.30pm
- Club Menangle Trackside, Menangle Park 2.30pm to 5.30pm
The convoy will finish its journey at the Campbelltown Athletics Centre, where Campbelltown Christmas Carols will get under way at 5pm. The live carols entertainment will include a 9pm fireworks display and a special appearance from Santa.
The celebrations will continue at Campbelltown Billabong Parklands on Saturday, December 13, from 11am to 4pm, with a festive themed treasure hunt, jumping castle, face painting and special roaming appearances from Santa and his Elf.
