Camden Council is gearing up to celebrate Small Business Month by inviting local businesses to get involved in its new campaign, #IAMCAMDEN.
The campaign recognises the innovative, forward-thinking small businesses that are shaping the future of Camden.
It ties in with council’s Small Business Month theme, The Future Is Now and celebrates businesses across the Camden area that are embracing change, driving innovation and making meaningful contributions to their industries and communities.
Local small businesses are encouraged to submit an expression of interest (EOI) to be considered for the campaign.
Expressions of interest are open until 9am on August 29.
Eligible businesses will be showcased on council’s website throughout October, which is Small Business Month, with up to 10 standout businesses selected to be professionally photographed and filmed for a feature in the #IAMCAMDEN video series.
The campaign will go live across council’s social media platforms throughout Small Business Month and will culminate with a celebration at the Small Business Month networking event on October 23.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Ashleigh Cagney, said Council remained committed to empowering local businesses and building a vibrant, resilient economy.
“The #IAMCAMDEN campaign is all about showing our community that council is proud to showcase the visionaries who are helping to shape the region’s future,” she said.
“Small businesses are at the very heart of our growing local economy and I’m proud of the incredible conviction we have in Camden of supporting our locals.
“So many of the local businesses we know and love are owned by our family, friends and neighbours.
“We want to give our small businesses the platform they deserve.”
