The popular splash park at Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre is set to be upgraded with vibrant, modern new play equipment.
Council wants to hear any ideas residents have for the project.
A concept design for the new splash park has been prepared and includes a range of features proposed as part of the upgrade.
“Every summer, this is one of Campbelltown’s most popular places for people to cool off or celebrate special occasions with friends and family,” Says Mayor Lound.
“This is an opportunity to make the splash park even better by adding a range of exciting new features, and we want to hear from you about what you’d like to see included,” he said.
People can leave their feedback online here or attend one of the upcoming consultation sessions at Macquarie Fields Leisure Centre, this Saturday, July 19, between 9am and 11.30am, and on the following Monday, 3pm to 5.30pm.

In other council news, this Sunday, July 20, Campbelltown Council staff will be at the Handmade and Homegrown markets sharing tips and simple swaps on how people can reduce their single-use plastic.
Residents will have the opportunity to win a reusable keep cup and other prizes to encourage sustainable changes.
It’s all part of encouraging residents to “break up’’ with their takeaway coffee cups as a part of a campaign called Plastic Free July challenge.
Takeaway coffee cups are one of the most common single-use items with 2.7 million cups thrown away daily.
Due to their plastic lining, they are not recyclable and are sent to landfill.
“Plastic Free July is a great initiative to encourage people to reduce the amount of plastic waste that goes into landfill,” says Mayor of Campbelltown, Darcy Lound.
“We want to empower and challenge our community to make sustainable changes, and I encourage everyone to see what small actions they can change in their day-to-day lives,” Cr Lound said.
“By making small changes together, we can have a significant impact on our environment.’’
