An investigation is under way after two police vehicles collided overnight near Bargo.
Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command had been engaged in the pursuit of a driver wanted on warrants about 7pm yesterday (Wednesday), along Remembrance Drive at Bargo; however, terminated due to the manner of driving.
A short time later, one police vehicle was conducting a U-turn when it was struck by a second police vehicle.
The drivers of both vehicles were taken to Liverpool Hospital for assessment; both have suffered bruising and associated soft tissue injuries.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the pursuit remains outstanding.

In a separate incident, a man has been charged after allegedly stealing a large amount of cash that was left on a train travelling on the Campbelltown line.
Officers attached to Police Transport Command commenced an investigation into a report that approximately $40,000 cash had been left in a backpack on a train at Glenfield.
Following inquiries, police attended a home on Bringelly Road, Rossmore, where they arrested a 74-year-old man.
Police recovered $36,500 cash.
The man was taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with larceny, dispose property – theft equal serious indictable offence and deal with property that was proceeds of crime.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on July 24.
It is amazing how every police chase that involves a collision has ”just been terminated ”a short time before the impact.
This is the only excuse these highway patrol clowns can come up with to explain how one police car crashed into another; because their blue lights possibly were not on.
Even so, they legally need headlights on.
I am looking forward to the driver doing a most probably illegal U turn being publicly named and charged for careless driving.
Questions need to be asked .Were both drivers drug / breath /blood tested like every other driver in an accident.
Will the U turning driver be prosecuted?
Why on Ch 10 and 7 news tonight was this story ignored?
This is another of increasing police cover ups that give these hypocritical maniacs of the road a free hand in breaking as many laws as they like with complete impunity.
Wish I could like this comment, so bloody true!
