Rock queen Sarah McLeod will bring her high-octane show trackside at Club Menangle when the time-honoured Inter Dominion Championships are decided in December.
Widely regarded as one of Australia’s most versatile live performers, McLeod will provide the soundtrack to a blockbuster finals program at the home of harness racing.
With a vast catalogue of songs spanning her time as a solo artist and as the iconic frontwoman of legendary Australian band The Superjesus, McLeod will help build the hype to what is one of the most anticipated Inter Dominion finals in its rich history.
Miracle Mile champion and multiple Group 1 winning pacer Leap to Fame will be looking to defend his title from 12 months ago.
The series returns to NSW for the first time in three years and will again be contested on three tracks across the state.
Inter Dominion ‘24 commences with qualifying heats at Newcastle on November 29 before moving onto Bathurst four round two the following Wednesday (December 4).
The action moves to Club Menangle for round three on Saturday, December 7, culminating in the grand final at harness racing headquarters a week later (December 14).
The Inter Dominion continues McLeod’s recent association with harness racing in NSW, having played Carnival of Cups sets in Young and Albury earlier this year.
“One thing I’ve learnt about harness racing crowds, they know how to turn up and have a good time so I’m really looking forward to bringing my show to Club Menangle on what is a massive night for the industry. I’m thrilled to be asked to be part of it,” McLeod said.
“There’s something special about performing on a stage trackside before a big race. There’s always big energy among the punters so hopefully I can help take that to another level and add to the occasion.”
