Pair to face court after crashing vehicle during police pursuit

Two men have been charged following a police pursuit on Saturday morning. Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command attempted to stop a Toyota Corolla on Hart Street, Warwick Farm.

When the vehicle, which was allegedly stolen, failed to stop as directed a pursuit was initiated.

The pursuit continued along Bigge Street, Liverpool, before the vehicle crashed into a shop front and flipped onto its side on Macquarie Street.

Two men aged 18 and 22 were trapped in the vehicle before climbing out of the passenger window.

They were taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The men were later released and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

The younger man was charged with several police pursuit offences, while the older man was charged with being in a stolen vehicle.

Both men were granted conditional bail and will appear at Liverpool Local Court on October 31.

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a 21 year old man missing from Narellan. Denzel Edwards was last seen on Parktree Place, Narellan on October 4.

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Camden Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to a medical condition.

Denzel is described as being of Caucasian appearance,175cm tall, of thin build with blonde/brown short hair.

He also has three tattoos, one on the left side of his neck that says “FAMILY”, another one on his left forearm that says “ROGERS” and one on his left calf that says “SKULL”.

He was last seen wearing blue `Geedup’ jacket, black knee length shorts and black and white stripe singlet and brown “Gucci” hat and white joggers.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call Camden Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
