The Pacing for Pink race night at Club Menangle this Saturday will offer fans a refreshed racing program.

The program will be headlined by four Group One races, including the popular Tanyia Harris OAM Lady Drivers Invitational.

Named in honour of Tanyia Harris, a local identity, the $25,500 event has become a sought after feature for reinswomen.

For this Saturday night (May 4) 10 female drivers have been selected to compete in the penalty exempt race.

“Each year, this race attracts a stellar line-up of drivers invited by Club Menangle, and this year is no exception,’’ says David Wonson, the general manager of racing operations.

“With the move in dates from the traditional running on Night Two of the Sky Racing Carnival of Miracles to the first Saturday in May, this race becomes a showcase of the Pacing for Pink campaign which supports the McGrath Foundation,’’ Mr Wonson said.

The following 10 drivers have been invited to compete by Club Menangle: Amanda Turnbull, Ashleigh Delosa, Caitlin McElhinney, Chloe Formosa, Emma Turnbull, Grace Panella, Jemma Coney, Sofia Arvidsson, Stephanie Morris and Taylah Osmond.

A big crowd is expected at Club Menangle on Saturday night, and punters will be able to enjoy roving entertainment and a vibrant atmosphere with the trackside DJ.

There will also be special pink cocktails available from the King of Swing Bar, while the Aussie Night Markets on course will feature more than 50 stalls.

Last but not least, Club Menangle’s premier trackside hospitality experience, the Miracle Mile Restaurant, will also be offering a bespoke pink menu with first-class views of all the racing action.
