The 2023 version of Fisher’s Kids will whisk you away to another world.

Fisher’s Kids Yomise, on Saturday, November 4, will be held in the Campbelltown Arts Centre between 5pm and 9pm.

A family friendly celebration of traditional and contemporary Japanese culture and artists living and working in Australia, the 2023 Fisher’s Kids has been inspired by the Japanese Yomise night market.

And for the first time ever this event – a very popular event during the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost will be held exclusively within Campbelltown Arts Centre’s beautiful Japanese Gardens, and will run during the golden hours, from late afternoon into the evening.

A dynamic selection of workshops, stalls, installations and performances will be on offer, alongside a special Japanese inspired menu from the Art Café.

Artists taking part include Kentaro Yoshida, Kyoko Imazu, Ben Dacich and Miki Orlandini.

The opening ceremony will begin with a flurry of excitement as the rhythmic bang of Wadaiko Rindo’s  Taikō live drumming reverberates through the gardens.

You look across the water and see centre stage Oune Fujima’s enchanting  Nihon Buyo fan dance of the butterfly.

The adventure continues with workshops and creative happenings weaving throughout the garden.

As dusk is about to settle, Yomise will kick up a notch with a J-Pop concert from Citrus Plus, followed by an after dark garden transformation, lantern pathway installations, temporary tattoos from Ben Dacich, shadow storytelling in the Tea House by Kyoko Imazu and the summoning of a colossal Kaiju surprise.

Tickets are $10 per person with every fourth family member free as part of the big family pass.
