Rail station attack: male constables kicked by 19 year old woman

A 19 year old woman kicked two male senior constables when wanted to speak to her about fare evasion at Macarthur railway station last night.

Campbelltown Local Court today was told one officer was kicked in the stomach and the other in the neck and head.

Both officers were taken to Campbelltown Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, however, they have since been released.

The accused was given strict conditional bail to appear at the same court on 5 July 5.

About 5.25pm on Wednesday officers attached to Campbelltown Police Transport Command were patrolling Macarthur Railway Station and attempted to speak with a 19-year-old woman who was allegedly travelling without a valid ticket.

It is alleged the woman tried to flee, before lashing out at the officers, who used OC spray in arresting her.

It is further alleged that a search of the woman uncovered a knife in her handbag.

She was taken to Campbelltown Police Station via Campbelltown Hospital and charged with two counts of assaulting an officer in execution of duty, resist officer in execution of duty, not state name or address to authorised officer, travel or attempt travel without a valid ticket and custody of knife in public place.

An 18-year-old woman has become the sixth person to be charged as investigations continue into the stabbing of a man in the car park of a sporting complex at Eschol Park on May 2.

The woman attended Campbelltown Police Station today where she was arrested.

She was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, tamper with evidence with intent to mislead judicial tribunal and conceal a serious offence.

She was refused bail and was due appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.
