A 20 year old who crashed his car into parked vehicles and a power pole near Camden last night will now have to appear in court on a drink driving charge.
Emergency services were called to Hampshire Boulevard, Spring Farm, about 9.40pm after reports of a crash.
Police say they were told a 20-year-old man was driving a Kia Stinger with three passengers inside when he allegedly crashed into two parked vehicles and a power pole.
The parked vehicles – a Holden Barina and Holden Rodeo utility – and the power pole were significantly damaged.
Two passengers left the scene.
The third, a 20-year-old man, suffered lacerations to his face and hands and was later taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment.
Officers from Camden Police Area Command spoke with the driver, who was uninjured.
The 20 year old was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station, where he returned a breath analysis reading of 0.081.
His licence was suspended, and he was issued a Field Court Attendance Notice for driving while under the influence of mid-range PCA.
He is due to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday, August 11.
Police say inquiries are continuing into the incident.
