A 22 year old Cobbitty woman arrested this morning has been charged after allegedly altering pay slips and posing as a nurse to obtain car finance.
Police will allege in court that the woman purported to be a registered nurse and altered pay slips and banking records to fraudulently obtain finance to purchase a new vehicle.
The woman has been granted conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on July 28.
Her arrest resulted from the ongoing targeting and disruption of the illicit activities of criminal networks.
As part of that operation, police from the Criminal Groups Squad, together with Queensland Police Service, executed a search warrant at a home at Cobbitty on March 13.
Police allegedly seized 4.4kg of methylamphetamine (ice) with an estimated potential street value of $1.5 million.
Cash, a loaded pistol, ammunition and other items were also seized on that date.
During a forensic examination of the property five days later on March 18, several electronic devices were also seized.
As a result of inquiries and a public appeal, police arrested and charged a 21 year old Cobbitty man with multiple drugs and firearms offences on April 6 and he remains before the courts.
Following further investigations, detectives returned to the home at 7am this morning (May 5) and arrested the 22 year old woman, pictured above being taken away by police.
Investigators also seized a Toyota Corolla, which will be subject to forensic examination.
The woman was taken to Narellan Police Station and charged with dishonestly obtaining property by deception.
Investigations are continuing.
